About

At One World we practice power vinyasa flow yoga.  The word vinyasa means “breath-synchronized movement.”  The poses flow from one to another in conjunction with the breath.  We emphasize the word power because this yoga builds strength in the physical body.  Come for the work out with this moving form of meditation and also calm your mind, bring clarity and reveal your spirit.

A regular yoga practice has been known to reduce stress, gain flexibility, build muscle tone, reduce high blood pressure, improve sleep and reduce the risk of heart disease.  Many practitioners are referred by physicians to rehabilitate injuries, reduce pain and reduce anxiety.  Our instructors believe in the importance of offering modifications that are appropriate for every level of practitioner and variations for specific injuries.

One World Yoga is located within One World Martial Arts but you don't have to be a martial artist to practice yoga here.  Lead yoga instructor, Brit Graves, is a Yoga Alliance Registered Teacher and has completed 200 hours of teacher training.  She continues her education through workshops to expand her knowledge of the body, keep up on the most current teaching methods and expand her experience through her own practice.

We invite you to practice with us whether you are an experienced yogi or would like to give yoga a try for the first time.  Leave all your expectations at the door.  Just bring a water bottle and towel and be prepared to practice barefoot.  No need to bring a yoga mat because our studio is matted wall-to-wall.
